This is actually NOT another Wedding Wednesday.

I love me a tuxedo.

They're so FESTIVE, don't you think?

I've been pondering a new couch for quite some time, and I think 

a "tuxedo" style sofa might be just the ticket.

They look similar to the chesterfield, but they're so much more 

sleek and modern.

I started my tuxedo sofa crush at Boxwood Interiors in Houston....

Wedding Wednesday.... The First Look!

I'm mentioning this "new" wedding tradition because I'm surprised by the amount of people who don't know about a "First Look".

A First Look is a special moment between you and your new husband-to-be..... BEFORE the "I-Do's".

Instead of seeing your new hubs in front of 300 people, you get an intimate moment, with only the photographer there to capture it.

And just look how well it can be captured.

Adore this. Preciousness.

So, what are your thoughts? Is the First Look a do or don't?

An Eastern Treat!

This weekend, I ventured east to lovely Tarrytown, NY for a wedding.

The lovely bride, my friend Leslie.

The wedding was held at the FABULOUS Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown.

It was a historic house (castle) on a sprawling property.

The decor was a little heavy for my taste, but fitting of the home, which is now a museum.

The actual reception was held in and outside of this carriage house.

It was just lovely, and the weather was even better.

I just love it when people pick beautiful, unexpected places for weddings.

Bar Cart Stylin'

I need to start off this post with an apology to ya'll for being such a sporadic poster!

I've recently started a new job and there haven't been enough hours in the day to work, eat, and sleep, much less blog.

My sincerest apologies. As I get more settled in my new role (in a design related job, no less, AH!)

I promise my posting will become more frequent.

Please, bear with me.

Now for this post. 

I dropped by one of my favorite antique haunts in Fort Worth this weekend.

And found a bar cart for $60.

The best part? It's faux bamboo with TWO shelves.

And even better, after stripping the white paint it had on,

I found that it's a shiny brass underneath!

SO, I've been looking for some inspiration as to how to arrange it.

I think the way you arrange your bar cart says so much about you, dontchathink?

I'm a lookin' and I'm a likin' what this person did....

Especially with the San Pellegrino Aranciata. MY FAVE.

I will definitely be needing FABULOUS lowballs like these gold greek keys from Pieces!

Decadence..... A Bridal jewelry story.

I'll say it until I'm blue in the face,

but there's nothing that bores me more than seeing the "same" bridal look 

Over and OVER again.

I mean, where's the decadence people?

Where's the GLAM?!

What I like most, is seeing something unexpected!

That especially goes for where jewelry is concerned.

 Like when my friend Kaitlin got married this summer.

Her three strand blue necklace with the diamante bloom was made by my sweet sister.

 And last spring, when my friend Natalie tied 

the knot, she donned these gorgeous purple stunners for her reception.

My current Cup of Tea

One of my close friends, who is also an avid reader of my blog recently said to me,

" Ok, I GET it. You love anything 1960's and want to get married in Palm Springs.

Please talk about something else"

A valid point.

So I decided to touch on a few other things I'm loving right now.

In no particular order.

The combination of peachy pink and gold.

It's just glamorous and it makes me feel warm and happy.

In fact, really the combination of pink and any other color.

I adore this living room....

Wedding decor that feels demure and French.
