Oh, I'm Sorry.....

I noticed this Miles Redd designed room on Pinterest the other day.

As you'll recall, I'm obsessed with this particular Schumacher wallpaper,

as I've envisioned it for a future child's room.

Nevermind the fact that the thought of children/childbirth/pregnancy makes me feel physically ill.

And terrifies me to my very core.

I suppose I could overlook all that for this wallpaper.

And all the magic that it would bring to my offspring's life.

Everyone needs to envision their life as one long, French hot air balloon ride.

Obviously.

Behold, the Power of Wallpaper!

My apologies for my absence from the blogosphere on Thursday & Friday.

I was enjoying time off from the western world at a client's remote ranch.

It was pretty amazing.

Now that I'm back, I wanted to talk about something that I think about often.

WALLPAPER.

It seems to me that people often steer away from wallpaper because it conjures images of grannie-style florals.

 Yick.

You know, the kind of wallpaper most people rip out when renovating a home.

I'm here to tell you readers, that wallpaper can have a dramatic impact, whether you use it in a small space like an entryway or powder bath or a large space, like a formal dining room or master bedroom.

Special Thanks to my sweet friend Mallory who suggested some great wallpaper vendors!

Some of my favorite patterns:

I've mentioned this one several times.

Still think it would be darling for a baby room.

I love the imperial trellis in this dining room.

So pretty in yellow.

Love this fun print from Brunschwig & Fils

Sweet Dreams of Turquoise....

I just finished Season 2 of Mad Men on dvd and the whole season, I've been dying over Don & Betty's TURQUOISE, velvet, tufted headboard.

It's like the bed trifecta.

The rest of their bedroom set is relatively mundane and the headboard definitely steals the show.

Love these other examples of fun turquoise headboards...

Especially mixed with orange!

They have a few great tufted options at Room Service in L.A.

This first one is my fave!

But this option from JC Penney is cute too and WAY more cost effective!

A pretty turquoise headboard would look fabulous against one of these Schumacher wallpapers.

Complete with comfy white bedding to snuggle up in!
