I'm seeking refuge from the snow-pocalypse today at my friend Lizzie's house.
Since we both have cabin fever, we got on the topic of redecorating her sweet little house. It was decorated when she first moved in 5 years ago, and she's ready for a change.
Here's what we're workin' with.....
The Boudoir- Currently Asian Inspired
Other view of the Boudoir with her desk
Dining Area
Living Room area with fireplace
Living Area with sofa....
And here is some inspiration for her....
BTW, if you love turquoise decor and have never visited Erin at House of Turquoise, take a gander immediately.
It's Fabulous!
Love this mix of pillows.
Let's Start with the living room....
I would love to see the sofa recovered in a deep navy like this one from
I would love to add a suite of different pillows to add neutrals with pops of turquoise
Pillows via Etsy.com
And would add a cowhide rug....
For the big chair by her fireplace, I would recover it in this beautiful Schumacher print
And this pretty mirror over the fireplace, for a touch of french
Wisteria
And one of these pretty coffee tables.....
I love the French Industrial look of this one...
For her dining room, I think Lizzy should paint her table and chairs a gloss black
And recover the cushions in one of these turquoise prints
And I would love to add this Antiqued chandelier from Pottery Barn
And this pretty clock from Wisteria on the wall
Now let's move to the bedroom
One of the biggest things that can be done in a bedroo to transform the look is to change the bed centered elements: Headboard, Bedding, bedside tables, and bedside lamps
Again, Inspiration from House of Turquoise
Lizzy's bedside tables are very similar to the one in this picture, except they're dark wood.
They would look great painted a gloss white like this
I would make her a simple rectangular headboard covered with a flax linen
She wants her bedding to be more simple.
Love these three options
This bedding from Z Gallerie is super BRIGHT, but I love the Euros in the back that are white and teal.
I would use three of those on her bed
With the pretty blue Cirrus bedding from Anthropologie
And add these throw pillows from Etsy
She has these stools at the end of her bed, that I think would look perfect recovered in one of these pretty fabrics
And of course Lizzy's puppy needs a sweet toile bed like this one from Etsy
Now to the desk area
Her current desk is a dark brown wood
I would paint it a gloss white and add sleek crome or gold handles to it

I also love this light light blue desk with the gold hardware.
SUPER CHIC
And for a shot of cheeky...
These turquoise foo dogs from Byrd & Bleecker
which is local to Ft. Worth!
